Man has always used natural elements for decorative purposes, often exploiting and modifying nature to his own taste, with the only intent of owning the beauty. I have always admired with wonder and respect the nature, I believe that it is the greatest expression of beauty, that kind of beauty that satisfies the senses, that kind of beauty that only art can approach.
I often say that I am an artisan first, before being an artist. With my design works, this is even truer. I apply the delicate rules of glass working trying to short the distances between design and craftsmanship, utility and beauty, tradition and originality, to show that, when all these traits are merged, the result is surprising.
Glass is a versatile material that is well suited for interpreting different ideas, from people and environments that are far from me. I have often been fortunate enough to be involved in projects that go beyond my laboratory: my works are contaminated with new experiences and I learn who I am also through the limits I have to overcome.
